Position Overview: As the Factory Manager at Helgesen, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and leading our production team to new heights of performance. You will oversee all aspects of the production value stream, ensuring adherence to our Build it Safe, Build it Right, Build it Fast methodology while spearheading initiatives for process improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Value Stream Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the production value stream, optimizing processes and resources to achieve production targets and exceed customer expectations.
- Workforce Engagement: Engage and communicate effectively with large audiences within the organization, inspiring and motivating teams to embrace change and challenge while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Problem-Solving Champion: Apply common sense understanding and analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a dynamic manufacturing environment, leveraging both data-driven insights and practical solutions.
- Operational Excellence: Utilize proficiency in Excel to analyze operational metrics, identify trends, and drive data-informed decisions to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall factory performance.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, where you will encounter new opportunities and challenges on a daily basis. Embrace change and lead your team through periods of transition with confidence and resilience.
Qualifications:
*Associate's degree and 3-6 years of related experience; or four years of high school and 6-8 years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
*Welding experience preferred.
*Proficient in Excel with the ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
*Strong social skills with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with large audiences.
*Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
*Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
