Position Overview
Helgesen Industries is seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to lead HR functions at our Hartford, WI facility. This role is responsible for overseeing recruitment, payroll & benefits administration, employee relations, training & development, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Recruitment, Staffing & Retention
- Oversee hiring and workforce planning to ensure we meet customer expectations.
- Develop and implement employee retention strategies.
✔ Employee Engagement & Recognition
- Foster a positive workplace culture by implementing engagement programs.
- Lead employee recognition initiatives to drive motivation and job satisfaction.
✔ Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Ensure accurate payroll processing while maintaining confidential employee data.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including group insurance and 401(k).
✔ Training & Development
- Create and oversee training programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Support leadership development and succession planning.
✔ Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and workplace safety protocols.
- Manage workers’ compensation and employee safety programs.
✔ Policy & Compliance Management
- Implement and uphold HR policies to maintain a fair and compliant work environment.
- Stay updated on federal and state labor laws to mitigate legal risks.
✔ HR Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor HR staff to enhance their knowledge and performance.

Qualifications & Experience
📌 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
📌 Experience: Minimum 5+ years of HR management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
📌 Certifications: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
📌 Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ADP Workforce Now, ERP systems, applicant tracking systems, and benefits administration platforms.
📌 Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
